Livable Housing Design (LHD)
Livable Housing Design (LHD) has been adapted from the ‘Silver’ level requirements of the Livable Housing Design Guidelines (LHDG), fourth edition, 2017, which were first published by Livable Housing Australia.
To satisfy the LHDG, 6 Provisions shall be met; these include:
-
Dwelling Access
-
Dwelling Entrance
-
Internal Doors and Corridors
-
Sanitary Compartments
-
Shower
-
Reinforcement of Bathroom and Sanitary Compartment Walls.
Seeking a review of LHD requirements by an Accredited Access Consultant can assist in fast tracking your Building Approval, by identifying any design issues early on in the project and allow for adjustments prior to lodgement of the Building Approval.
